The Jenkins Independent Schools Band Program

Jenkins, Kentucky was founded in 1911 when the Consolidation Coal Company bought a 100,000 acre tract of land from the Northern Coal and Coke Company.  It was named after George C. Jenkins, one of the Consolidation Coal Company's directors. Jenkins was incorporated on January 9, 1912.  The town's population is currently 2200.

Our band program is currently under the direction of Jenny L. Collins and is 44 members strong.
